You are invited to the first public concert of a new band:
Dos Brother Pastors
Who: Two local pastors
Where: Parsonage of one pastor
When: Father's Day 2009 - 8:00pm
What: Guitar Hero, Livin' on a Prayer (The only church song we could find in guitar hero. OK - the only one with some church word in it. Some might consider Sweet Home Alabama or Eye of the Tiger as religious, but we opted for a little Bon Jovi.)
Why: Why not?
*I know the video is long, but there are several things in this video that make it extremely funny to us, maybe not to anyone else.
- Don't miss the copy of People magazine between the two of us featuring the Jonas Brothers on the cover.
- The laughter coming from two rooms away. Any guesses on who that is laughing?
- My sons in the video in their bathing suits.
- The horrible theology of the song.
- The fact that my sons know the entire song is perplexing.
- The matching brown shirts of the musicians.
- The fact that I used the phrase, "I got my groove now baby."
- The guitar move at 3:45 into the video.
- The drum roll at the end. (Matt Huskey taught me this.)

You guys ARE heroes. Drum rolls, big Mike's leg kicks, knee drop, and guitar swing....
Even the perplexed look of serious concentration you both have on your faces. Its the same one we all have during video games, but you guys take it to another level.....
Also, I can't believe you bashed the theology of this song bro.... come on!! "Take my hand, we'll make it I swear...." That is DEEP and you know it. This song is the one that carried you through the 80's!!
u so crazy.
Man you guys rock.
whoa...kinda scary....lol......i have an idea for the band....maybe you two could wear makeup like the band kiss does...then all you need are some woppin' boots and your hair died black like adam lambert's. rock on!!!!!!
p.s. i would pay big money to see you two do that at Rich fork for the worship service. LOL! seriously, i would! rock on!!!!!!!!!
P.P.S (or is it P.S.S.???): you could also get your ears pierced....
So once the video loads over here in Africa- 24 hours from now. I'd love to watch it. I saw the first 19 seconds and it did bring back some fond memories of my bro and I at about 6am at Best Buy on Black friday. We took a break from shopping last year and decided to rock it out. Pretty much had the whole store in applause. Matt played guitar and I played the drums! Who'd a thunk we could be so good?
Oh great...Jake just showed up in the living room with that annoying electronic guitar of his. Thanks Michael. -BB
